This project aims to establish a standardized residential post-occupancy evaluation protocol and accompanying open source data base.

Status: Current

Research themes: Health and comfort

Research areas: Building design and retrofits for performance improvement; Wellbeing and comfort in the built environment

Project Objective

This project aims to develop a standardized residential building performance evaluation tool that can be deployed post-occupancy or post-retrofit to determine building performance from the residents’ perspective.

Approach

A global literature review combined with expert interviews will inform the development of the questions.  Then, the surveys will be piloted in partner buildings.  The results will be annonymized and added to an open-source database for use by researchers.
