Kirtan received her bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from University of Toronto. Her research interest is to understand the as-built performance of high performance building enclosures by investigating recently retrofitted and newly built MURBs achieving passive house certification.

Post-Occupancy Evaluations in Passive House Multi-Unit Residential Buildings.
This project evaluates the post-occupancy performance of two multi-unit residential buildings (MURBs): one which was newly constructed to the Passive House standard and one which was retrofit to EnerPhit Standard.
